As Roz spends more time on the island, she comes across a family of geese that tragically loses one of their own. Among the wreckage is an orphaned baby goose, whom Roz takes under her care. Though raising a baby goose is far from her intended function, Roz learns how to nurture and protect the small creature, treating it with the same care that a mother goose might.
